Had a walk amongst the woodland at Alexandra Colliery. Ravenhead. St Helens. Heavy downpours has flattened everything underfoot and has exposed the hidden industrial heritage of bricks. Have to turn some over with my foot to expose the brick marks. The area has a lot of Scottish bricks like Dourie, Forth and Morningside.
