Old Ravenhead Bottle Works. Ravenhead Road. St Helens.
The old Ravenhead Bottle works site has been knocked down a few years ago and is now being levelled. Managed to get one brick frOm the site that has its origins in the Leeds Fireclay Co. Yorkshire.
Ravenhead Glass was a glassworks on this site near Ravenhead Colliery, Lancashire, North West England. It was founded in 1850 by Frances Dixon and John Merson after a move from their earlier (1842) factory at Thatto Heath near St Helens. Not sure when the brick arrived at the site but the Leeds Company was active from 1889 - 1957.
