Shaw's Brick
This Shaw brick was photographed behind the Phoenix Inn, Bold Street, Greenbank, St. Helens.
The bricks origins was the Shaw's Glazed Brick Co Ltd., (The owner William Henry Shaw), Whitebirk, Blackburn, Lancs. This was founded in 1890 and the bricks were made from the clay mined at the Whitebirk Colliery and this remained active well into the 1930's.
