Ravenhead RUS 1935 brick was the only one I could find that had an actual date on. There was a clear brickmark for Ravenhead Rus but I have found it is rare to find one with a date on until now.
The brick came from the Ravenhead Sanitary Pipes and Brickworks that was located on Burtonhead Road, St Helens. It had access to claypits that were deep and in later years they became the towns tip taking many years to fill in. I can remember in my younger years walking on the road/track between the town tip and the Teaport Potteries on the other side. These areas now make up Ravenhead Nature Reserve and Greengate Factory (UK 5 AND 6)
